Junior Invitational Miles To Focus on Team CompetitionPublished by
New England Team Looks to Showcase Indoor Dominance BOSTON (Jan. 27) –Adding a wrinkle to its traditional Junior Invitational Mile races, organizers announced that the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will feature a team scored Junior Boys' and a team scored Junior Girls' mile race. On February 5th, top high school athletes from the New England area will defend their home turf on the Reggie Lewis Track as its team challenges a visiting squad of athletes from other regions of the country. Tickets for the 16th annual Olympic-styled event are on sale now at www.nbindoorgrandprix.com or by calling 1-877-TIX-TRAC. Cross country styled scoring for top finishers on each squad will determine the winning team. The New England's team of athletes includes: GIRLS BOYS The Junior Invitational Mile races, which began in 2005, have become one of the annual highlights in Boston. Lukas Verzbicas, the nation's top prep miler in 2010, will be featured in the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix Invitational Men's Mile.
