Owen Powell of Mercer Island WA ran the 12th-fastest high school indoor mile in history with a second place finish at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, running 4:01.14. That time also makes him the fastest high school miler in Washington state history, taking down the time of 4:01.5 by Gerry Lindgren, who ran that time outdoors in 1964. More videos |
