Boston, Mass. (Nov. 21, 2023) – Noah Lyles, the reigning world champion at 100m, 200m and the 4x100m relay will return to the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, organizers announced today.

Following a virtually flawless 2023 campaign, Noah Lyles is making his sixth appearance at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. Lyles opened his 2023 season with a lifetime best of 6.51 to win the 60m dash at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix and never looked back, winning the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, becoming the first man in seven years to complete the classic sprints triple at a global championships. Those world titles add to the golds he won in the 200m in 2022, the 200m and 4x100m in 2019 and the Olympic bronze medal he won in 2021. A finalist for World Athletics Athlete of the Year and winner of the Jesse Owens Award, Lyles is the equal fastest man in the world this year at 100m and, for the sixth straight year, the fastest man in the world at 200m.

Leading the women’s sprints will be the 2023 World Athletics Championships 200m silver medalist, Gabby Thomas. Thomas, a native of Northampton, Mass., won the 2023 USATF title at 200m in a new lifetime best of 21.60, making her the fourth-fastest woman in history. In addition to her 200m silver, she also took gold as a member of Team USA’s 4x100m in Budapest, and also owns 200m bronze and 4x100m silver medals from the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Making his debut at the TRACK at new balance will be 2022 World 1500m Champion Jake Wightman. Wightman won the world title in thrilling fashion in Eugene before going on to take bronze over 1500m at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and silver in the 800m at the European Championships. Having missed the 2023 season due to injury, the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will be Wightman’s first major race in nearly 13 months as he begins his 2024 campaign.

The 2024 New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will be shown live on NBC from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, Feb. 4 and is a founding member of the World Athletics Indoor Tour.
